Building Maintenance Management is proud to announce a new service we will be offering for our clients in the Twin Cities metro. We are setting up an after hours emergency maintenance service to handle maintenance requests outside of normal working hours. We hope this service will help property managers and in-house maintenance technicians have more flexibility and peace of mind.
BMM has been in the property maintenance business for more than 30 years. During that time, we’ve seen some of the difficulties property managers experience with building maintenance. Many properties have their own maintenance staff who can handle most things, but if they only have one or two people, those employees have to be on call 24/7. This makes it hard on the maintenance staff and often difficult for managers to keep skilled maintenance workers.
BMM wanted to offer a solution for this problem. We have a growing staff of skilled maintenance technicians. We already offer contract maintenance services for property managers who need extra staff or help between maintenance employees. Now, we are offering an extension of this service, providing a way for our staff to be on-call at all times.
With our after hours emergency maintenance service, property managers will have a maintenance person they can rely on 24/7/365. They can still have their own in-house maintenance staff to handle ordinary tasks and any emergencies during their working hours. However, once they go home, they can relax knowing if something else comes up, our team can take care of it.
We have a call center where any after hours maintenance calls will come. We will then send a notice to all of our maintenance technicians who will be spread out over the Twin Cities area. Whoever is closest and available will respond to the call. This provides a quick response time. We will have our employees on different shifts so all hours of every day will be covered.
Our staff will also communicate with the in-house maintenance crew so they know what’s going on and can follow up with any needed repairs, etc. We are just an extension of each property’s maintenance staff.
With this service, property managers can have peace of mind knowing any issue will be taken care of right away by an experienced person. They also won’t drain their own maintenance employees. To receive this service, managers will sign up with BMM and pay a monthly rate based on the number of units at their property.
