At Building Maintenance Management, we are more than a commercial maintenance service in the Twin Cities area. We also believe in giving back to the community any chance we get. One of the ways we do this is by volunteering our time to good causes that will benefit others in our area. We recently attended a Hearts & Hammers event where we helped a homeowner spruce up the outside of his house. The event was held on Wednesday, October 7, and it is safe to say it was a huge success!
The homeowner is a 79-year-old man named Hugh. He is an avid gardener, but over the years, it seems that his garden was growing a bit too well, so he needed some help getting it back to a manageable size. So we help cut back some of the excess growth and did some weeding and other gardening tasks too.
We also worked on the front of his house. We took out some bushes that were blocking his front windows, and now that gives him plenty of room to proudly display his American flag. And after a few fresh coats of paint, the house looks better than ever!
The event also included a delicious lunch, sponsored by Building Maintenance Management. With all of the hard work we did, the meal tasted particularly good.
But our work didn’t end there! We also installed new outdoor lighting fixtures, a new garage door and a new doorbell. Our Director of Sales, Dan Rodich, showed just how handy he is by installing some of the outdoor lighting fixtures.
But the biggest reward of the day was the homeowner’s happiness when we showed him the end results of our hard work. He was very grateful for our time and effort, and we hope he enjoys his freshly painted home and new landscaping.
We are so happy we were part of this amazing event, and we plan to continue our volunteer work in our community. Keep an eye on our website to see the other volunteer events we participate in and to learn more about our company and our services.
